In the past two weeks, Swarthmore College student activists raised concern for the way that AlliedBarton treats it’s employees. Today, the Northumberland (PA) County Commissioners reversed their plans to outsource their security guard jobs to this notoriously anti-worker employer.

It was a cost-savings decision that would save the county about $56,000 a year.
But on Tuesday, the commissioners agreed to table approval of the contract.
Added Commissioner Kurt Masser, “We want to be fair to the employees.”
