Thanks, Alistair. Can you believe this guy? He feels so entitled to our money. Before the hearing, Mr. Rub was waiting at the swing gate to take his place at the table. He didn’t see me standing right behind him. He looked over to Kate Harkins and Brandon Slattery who were holding a banner in the front row.

Mr. Rub sarcastically said to them (though probably too low for them to hear), “That’s going to look great. Just lift that side up a little bit.”

I heard him say it so, I said, “Mr Rub, that’s funny right, tax payers questioning whether you should get their money to abuse workers.”

Rub turned around and saw me and smiled uncomfortably, and went and sat down at the table with his back to me.

Come on! If your gonna heckle our supporters, then at least do it audibly.

You can tell by his body language, that he has disdain for us and the workers.

When Mr. Rub looked at us at Councilwoman Quinones-Sanchez’s request, he looked disgusted at the site of the workers.

After the hearing I told both Mr. Rub and Mrs. Harrity that the union would lobby WITH the museum if they would respect our rights. They both scoffed at the idea that they would ever partner with these workers even to come and get this city money.
